When your child is struggling at school, it’s difficult to know what to do. By having your child assessed, you will gain a greater appreciation of your child’s needs and how to best move forward. Encompass Tuition offers a range of assessments to assist you with your decision-making.

Reading

Encompass Tuition recognises that reading is a vital skill that underpins successful learning. With my extensive knowledge of phonics-based instruction and experience in tutoring young people with a range of reading challenges, I can help your child improve their reading and build confidence when dealing with text-based learning.

Spelling

Learning to sound out effectively, choosing the right letters, breaking words into smaller parts and understanding basic spelling rules, all contribute to the challenge of learning to spell with accuracy. Encompass Tuition can assist those for whom spelling appears overwhelming and need guidance to build their skills.

Irlen Syndrome

Irlen Syndrome occurs when the brain does not process the full spectrum of light leading to distortions of text or other visual processing issues such as poor depth perception. As a certified Irlen Screener, my role is to identify those who may have Irlen Syndrome. Identification of this condition could be the answer to your child’s visual difficulties..
